Acacia Lane

The once vacant 1.3 acre site on the eastside of Santa Rosa has been transformed into 44 affordable senior housing units, ranging from 600 to 730 square feet, as well as a 1,800 square foot community center building.

Firma Design Group (FDG), as the civil engineer on the project, brought decades of expertise to the team of highly competent consultants, and was involved in the project from initial concept through construction documents. The result is a highly successful development project which will offer much needed housing, gardening space and recreation amenities for our senior community. Architectural design is by Robert W. Hayes + Associates, and the developer is Petaluma Ecumenical Properties.

Construction began in April 2011, and was completed in June, 2012 as a green-certified project. Energy efficiency and environmental awareness had been a priority for this project from the initial conception.

In addition to submitting construction documents, Firma Design Group provided field observation, quality assurance, risk assessments, and was integral at gaining project approval from the Santa Rosa Community Development Department and the Sonoma County Water Agency.
